1. The question you asked after the panel discussion (10 marks)
In addition to the initial start up investment, do you think new jobs would also need to be created to support the community integration components of your solution, such as the educational workshops, peer support circles, and expert Q&A? Or would this realistically be feasible if added to the workload of existing providers?
2. How did you feel it was answered by (10 marks)
Kim did a fantastic job answering my question. Her response was thoughtful, genuine, and very knowledgeable. Kim understood the practical realities of her solution. She acknowledged that additional workload would need to be considered and responded in a way that felt both realistic and balanced. Overall, I felt she addressed my question thoroughly and with a level of detail that demonstrated real expertise and preparation.
3. What went well? (5 marks)
In my opinion, everything went very well. Her slides were organized beautifully, and she presented her solution in a clear, engaging way with excellent detail and supporting evidence. Her proposal was convincing, and I genuinely believe that this type of awareness campaign would bring meaningful value not only to Kamloops, but also to other smaller communities that could benefit from improved IVF navigation and support.
4. What can be done better? Identify 2 or more areas of improvements (10 marks)
- Kim presented her solution so well which makes it hard to identify areas of improvement. The presentation explains the start-up phases really clearly, but it would be helpful to know who might take responsibility for keeping the website and print materials updated over time.
- There was a small audio issue at the very beginning of the news video, which is a common reality during presentations.
5. What can be done to improve? (Provide 3 or more suggestions for improvement). (15 marks)
- Perhaps to address who might take responsibility for keeping the website and print materials updated over time, even a short note on possible partners or roles would make the plan feel even more complete.
- The news video added so much value. Perhaps quickly pausing to ask if everyone could hear it clearly right from the start. But once the audio came through, the clip added a lot of value and supported your points really well.
- Adding a very short final summary slide highlighting the main takeaways may help reinforce the key points of the presentation.
